Promoting Green Living
with our residents
Digital processes to
reduce travel
In partnership with United Utilities, we
implemented a Green Living initiative
which included a Go-Green gift for
residents and training for Ascend Property
Managers, enabling them to conduct
Green Living home audits to identify
energy and water efficiencies and
encourage eco-friendly choices.
We introduced new processes to
optimise technology and minimise
unnecessary travel, including digital
property viewings and inspections,
with an average of 47% of inspections
completed virtually. These measures
reduce our carbon emissions and
enhance convenience for our residents.

Sustainable future programme
Our retrofit/CapEx programme successfully
delivered a pilot project across a selection of
SFR homes in Greater Manchester. The retrofit
included: installation of 10 solar panels,
electric vehicle charging point, water-saving
devices and replacement of old appliances.
The EPC rating of these homes increased to
the highest score within the B rating (91), and
are now classified as Eco+ house types.

volunteering and local charities,
reinforcing our commitment to
social responsibility and community
engagement. These efforts help build
stronger, more resilient communities.
